Welcome To Sandyford Little Theatre

Sandyford Little Theatre Company is a small group of people who are passionate about good theatre, and making good theatre. With regular rehearsals and readings, the company supports each other on- and off-stage to be better actors, directors, producers and more.
The group and its members have won awards but for them, that’s not really what it’s about. Sandyford Little Theatre Company believes that every member of the team brings something unique, and it is always welcoming new members to join in the creative experience.

About us

In 1934, a travelling theatre company arrived in Stepaside Village at the end of a long season on the road. One of the group, Mike O’Grady, remained behind and formed the Sandyford Little Theatre with The Sandyford Library, Lambs Cross, becoming the regular venue for their productions. Other founder members were Mick Doyle, Bridie Doherty, Anna Doherty and Charlie Rourke.

We now perform twice annually at the DLR Mill Theatre, as well as at other venues in the area. We are an ever-increasing ensemble, with new members constantly asking to join and being welcomed into the fold. We try to take a fresh look at well written narrative plays that are both entertaining and thought provoking…

Join us. It will only take a minute.
